학명 풀이:

Polystichum: 그리스어 poly ‘many’, stichos ‘row’ 포자낭군이 여러 줄로 되어 있는 것 가리킴

Polystichum Roth (Dryopteridaceae) Earlier placement: Aspideaceae Shield fern Etymology Polystichum is from the Greek polys, many, + stichos, row. The sori are in many rows. Description Rhizome: erect, scales. Frond: evergreen, monomorphic or weakly dimorphic. Stipe: scaly, vascular bundles: 4 or more, in an arc. Blade: 1-3 pinnate, lanceolate; at emergence the croziers(양치의 새싹) droop backwards, glossy, linear to lanceolate scales below, no hairs. Pinnae: usually an upper side lobe, costae grooved above, grooves discontinuous from rachis to costae, segments spinulose, veins free, forked, anadromic. Sori: round, in 1 (2) rows between midrib and margin, indusium: peltate or rarely absent, central, sporangia: yellow or brownish to black. Distinctive Characteristics similar to Dryopteris, but distinguished by the upward ear on the pinnae, commonly spiny margins, the peltate indusia(포막), and discontinuous grooving between rachis(중축) and costa(우축). It also has many characteristics in common with Cyrtomium(쇠고비속), but the latter has netted veins(망상맥); here they are always free(유리맥), perhaps forked(차상맥).

한국양치식물도감

잎  엽병은 길이 20-40㎝로서 중축과 더불어 표면에 홈이 있으며 인편이 밀생하고 엽병에 달린 작은 인편은 길이 2-4mm이다. 엽신은 2회우상복엽이며 난상 긴 타원형이고 길이 40-100㎝, 폭 15-30㎝로서 밑부분이 좁아지지 않거나 약간 좁아지며 중축 뒷면에 인편이 밀생하고 표면은 밝은 녹색이며 뒷면은 연한 녹색이고 중축 뒷면의 인편은 난상 피침형또는 피침형으로서 끝이 꼬리처럼 길어진다. 우편은 선형이며 대가 없고 끝이 뾰족하며 소우편은 난상 긴 타원형이고 끝이 둔하지만 가시 같은 톱니로 그치며 가장자리에도 가시같거나 부드러운 톱니가 있고 짧은 대가 있다.   열매 포자낭군은 엽맥과 가장자리 중간에 달리며 엽신 상반부의 소우편에 2줄로 달리고 포막은 둥글며 중앙부가 오목하다.   뿌리 근경은 덩이같고 잎이 더북이 나옴.   원산지 한국.  분포 울릉도 성인봉과 광릉숲에서 자란다.  형태 다년초

특징: 반상록성~하록성 크기: 120cm 내외 생육지: 산지의 숲속 분포: 경기도, 제주도, 일본 근경: 짧고 비스듬하거나 직립한다 엽병: 길이 30cm 내외, 하부에 장란형의 인편이 밀생한다 엽신: 길이 1m 내외. 2회 우복엽이다, 중축에는 난상피침형, 피침형의 인편이 붙는다 포자낭군: 소우편의 중륵과 가장자리의 중간에 붙는다. * 지리개관중과 비슷하며 중측의 인편이 좁은 장란형, 피침형인 것이 다르다 (지리개관중의 중축의 인편은 원형~광란형)
