Growth
The perennials reach heights of 20 to 30 centimetres.

Vriesea carinata is evergreen. The green, simple leaves are in rosettes. They are lanceolate, entire and sessile.
Flowers and Fruits
Vriesea carinata produces spikes of yellow tubular flowers from August to October.
Vriesea carinata is native to Southeast Brazil.
