잎

잎은 3소엽으로 잎자루는 2-5㎜이고 소엽은 도란형으로 가볍고 두(頭)와 기부는 쐐기꼴로 길이 6-10㎜이다. 탁엽은 난상피침형이며 예첨두 기부는 줄기를 둘러싼다.

꽃

꽃자루는 줄기보다 길고 5-15개의 작은 황색 접형화(蝶形花)가 둥글게 뭉쳐서 핀다. 접형화의 폭은 5㎜이고 길이는 7㎜내외이다. 화관은 길이 3㎜내외로 담황색이고 기변(旗弁)은 장타원형으로 5-7개의 뚜렷한 맥이 있다.

줄기

줄기의 길이 20-40㎝로 지면으로 눕거나 비스듬이 자라고 털이 없다.

원산지

유럽,서아시아 원산.

분포

▶북미와 일본등지에 분포.

▶서울의 제1한강교와 한강철교의 고수부지에 자란다.

Annual herbs, glabrous to sparsely pubescent. Stems erect to decumbent, (5-)10-30(-40) cm. Leaves pinnately 3-folio­late; stipules obliquely ovate, 4-8 mm, base rounded, margins finely dentate, apex acute; petiole shorter than or equal to leaf­lets; terminal petiolule longer than lateral petioles; leaflets ob­ovate, 5-10(-12) × 3-8 mm, veins 6-8 pairs, base cuneate, margins entire proximally, obscurely serrulate distally, apex rounded or emarginate. Flowers 5-15, in axillary heads; pedun­cle 0.5-3(-4) cm, pubescent; pedicels less than 1 mm, after flowering pendulous. Calyx ca. 2 mm, veins 5. Corolla pale yel­low, turning brown, 3-4 mm; standard narrowly boat-shaped, smooth, apex acute. Legume oblong, 1.5-2 mm, shortly beaked; stipe ca. 1 mm. Seed 1, pale brown, globose. Fl. and fr. Apr-Sep.
