국내 유통명 : 나선생강

* 국내유통명은 Costus dubius와 Costus afer를 구별하지 못한데서 기인한 것으로 보인다, 나선생강은 Costus afer의 Common Name인 Spiral Ginger를 국명으로 한 것이다

Costus afer Ker Gawl.와 비슷해보인다.

아래 참조 사이트를 보면 Costus dubius 는 흰색 바탕에 노란 무늬가 있는 꽃이 피고 Costus afer는 흰색 바탕에 가장자리가 핑크색인 꽃이 피는 것으로 보인다
