개화 전에 포를 둘러싸고 있었던 백색 막질은 총포(불염포 모양)로 국생지에는 1장으로 되어 있으나

FOC에서는 2장으로 되어 있다. 사진을 보면 2장이 맞다

 

수술은 6개, 화피도 6장이라 한다

 

 

 

가운데 녹색 자방 위에 서 있는 듯이 보이는 것이 암술인가? 아니면 사진으로는 자방 위에 있는 듯이 보이지만 

주위에 서 있는 수술인지 잘 구별이 가지 않는다

국생지

 

우리나라 전국 각지에서 재배한다.

형태

여러해살이풀.

크기

높이 60cm에 달한다.

잎

잎은 관상(管狀)이고 끝이 뾰족하고 속이 비었다. 밑부분은 엽초로 되어 서로 겹쳐서 하나가 되며 녹색 바탕에 약간 흰빛이 돌며 점정이 있다.

꽃

꽃은 6-7월에 피고 원주형의 꽃대 끝에 백록색의 둥근 우산모양꽃차례가 달리며 총포는 1개로서 어린 꽃차례를 완전히 둘러싸고 화피열편은 6개이며 피침형으로서 바깥쪽의 것이 약간 짧다. 수술은 6개이고 길게 밖으로 나오며 수술대 사이에 부속체가 없고 암술은 1개이다.

열매

삭과는 3개의 능선이 있다. 종자는 모가 나고 삼각형에 오목한 물결모양의 주름이 있으며 검은색으로 익는다.

줄기

높이가 60cm에 달한다.

뿌리

비늘줄기는 그리 굵어지지 않고 많은 수염뿌리가 밑에서 사방으로 퍼지며 지상 15cm정도 되는 곳에서 5-6개의 잎이 2줄로 자란다.

번식방법

종자로 번식한다.

Leaves subequaling scape, 0.5--1.5 cm wide. Scape 30--50(--100) cm, terete, fistulose, covered with leaf sheaths for ca. 1/3 its length. Spathe 2-valved, persistent. Umbel globose, many flowered. Pedicels subequal, slender, 1--3 × as long as perianth, ebracteolate. Perianth white; segments ovate, 6--8.5 × 2.5--3 mm, apex acuminate, with a reflexed point; inner ones slightly longer than outer. Filaments equal, 1.5--2 × as long as perianth segments, connate at base and adnate to perianth segments. Ovary obovoid, with inconspicuous nectaries at base. Style exserted. Fl. and fr. Apr--Aug. 2 n = 16*.

Cultivated as a vegetable since ancient times [possibly native to W China, but no wild plants have been collected; widely cultivated elsewhere].
